The land degradation is often called the "use of land" as if the territory had unleashed one of our obsessions, consumerism.
And with the end use of land means its misuse, waste, abuse, which makes the whole territory and the environment and landscape in which the territory is entered.
We made a hypothesis. What
the use of land and the destruction of the environment and landscape are accompanied in society or rather in the community that lives in that area phenomena of cultural decay.
What do we mean by culture?
Culture can be considered the body of knowledge of an individual or a plurality of individuals together with the ability to use the best, to improve them and transmit them. It has
cultural decay when you do not cultivate the knowledge gained, when the same are set aside, put on the back burner, and together when not cultivated in any way the ability to use the same knowledge, and even when we do not deal in any way forward to others and especially to young people the knowledge and the set of knowledge.
The hypothesis can find evidence.
First, land degradation is not conducive to any form of meeting between people who have very few opportunities to exchange a few words if you do not accidentally met an acquaintance.
land degradation favors instead a kind of escape of persons from meetings, perhaps because it is the territory as it has not changed to have more meeting places.
land degradation also results in people a sense of unease for which you should quickly be out of habit but also because there is often very little to look at, and indeed often the spectacle presented to us is not nice and try to avoid in any way to pause.
The haste and frenzy that often characterizes the lives of those living today, not only in big cities, results in a decreased ability to perceive the reality around us and to pause to observe what is around us.
The decreased ability to perceive the reality around us is one of the causes of cultural decay. Along with the hustle and the decreased ability to perceive, consider that the very fast and the decreased ability of perception may also be determined by land degradation and problems of the landscape, which gives our senses a show often difficult to accommodate with ease, show a complex and often also characterized by ugliness, that the prevalence of imbalances and disharmonies everything else, from confusion, from disorder to present to us a multiplicity of buildings in most cases held together in a confused and at odds with good taste.
So the problem of the decline of our abilities of perception may, in our view, be attributed to the degradation of the spectacle presented to us and a deep desire to escape from it.
And when we are dealing with natural beauty and wonderful landscape we realize that our ability to perceive, look, observe and accept the feelings in us that we can give the landscape or the natural beauty are almost nonexistent. We are not, or at least most of us no longer in terms of feeling the emotions that can give us a natural spectacle.
